Who are we?

CTA is a Not-for-Profit independent organization dedicated to automotive R&D, as well as vehicle systems and components engineering.

Services are available as university research partnerships or in consultancy mode. CTA is one of a few organizations that can work either in applied research or in product development; its academic and industrial alliances provide access to R&D’s best practices.

The methodologies used by CTA aim at reducing development costs and time in order to reduce client’s time-to-market.

Available services include industrial design, computer aided design (CAD), testing and predictive engineering (FEA, CFD, MBD, etc.). Prototyping is done in a virtual reality (VR) studio, in additive manufacturing (3D Printing) or in one of the mechanical and electronic workshops. In-house laboratories allow tests, characterization, validation and cycling (mechanical, electrical, etc.), as well as instrumentation for data acquisition.

Our customers are diversified. They include international vehicle OEMs, aerospace and urban mobility companies, as well as a variety of start-ups seeking R&D expertise.

get paid to study while being part of an industrial project.

Located on the campus of the Université de Sherbrooke, CTA offers a particularly interesting environment for candidates thinking about an internship, Masters (MSc) or Doctorate (PhD) degree in engineering.

Each year, the Faculty of Engineering reserves positions for graduate students to be part of CTA projects. These projects are carried out with and for clients. Students have the opportunity to pursue their academic work in an industrial context.
