M.Sc. and Ph.D. Programs

CTA Masters of Science and Ph.D. Studies

Many students are involved in M.Sc. and Ph.D.programs as part of CTA's R&D projects. The majority of these studies are in the field of mechanical engineering; but some of our projects focus on Mechatronics Systems and computer engineering.

The M.Sc. and Ph.D. projects are directed by professors of the Mechanical Engineering Faculty of the “Universite de Sherbrooke.” The academic part of these projects follows the Universite de Sherbrooke programs. A minimum of 19 credits of courses with a research project of 26 credits is required for M.Sc. students. For Ph.D. programs, there are no regular studies or courses required for most candidates.

For non francophones candidates, it is possible to write the M.Sc. or Ph.D. thesis in English but we should not forget that all courses are given in French at the Universite de Sherbrooke.

For more information, consult the Université de Sherbrooke website

FINANCIAL SUPPORT

All M.Sc. and Ph.D. students will receive financial support from CTA. If you are not a fellowship recipient from CRSNG, FQRNT or other governmental organism, CTA will award a Master student an amount of 17 300$ per year (CRSNG scholarship equivalence) for a period of two years or for a Ph.D., an amount of $21,000 per year (CRSNG scholarship equivalence) for a period of three years.
